Assemblywoman Laurie Davies presented a grant award from the Barona Band of Mission Indians to Coastal Academy High School’s Pathways Program in support of their newest vocational skill-building initiative, BrewAbility. This grant will fund an on-campus coffee cart, and students will undergo barista training, learning essential skills such as food safety, time management, communication, and customer service.

BrewAbility will provide students with hands-on experience running their own on-campus coffee business, while developing real-world skills. This program will build confidence, independence, and job readiness - one latte at a time!
