What Do We Offer?

The Classical Academies seek to personalize learning for every student through the partnership between parents and credentialed teachers. Each campus offers a variety of flexible programs, including on-campus, independent study, and/or a blend of these programs. The following flexible options are available:

Transitional Kindergarten: Pre-kindergarten program

The Transitional Kindergarten program is for students who turn five between September 2nd and June 2nd.  It offers a curriculum geared towards preparing students for Kindergarten. Students can attend class on campus one-half day a week.

Tracks A & B: Two days on campus and three days of independent study

Students attend class on campus in a traditional setting two days per week and study at home under the supervision of a parent or guardian the remaining three days per week. 

California-credentialed teachers work closely with parents to ensure each student's success.

C Track: Five-Day Independent Study

Parents are assigned a credentialed teacher who works alongside them in selecting resources for students in grades TK-8. Teachers are available to answer questions, provide support, analyze assessment data, and act as a guide to ensure that parents and students succeed.

C’lectives are supplemental on-campus classes for students enrolled in C Track; TK – 8th grade. C’lectives provide C Track students with opportunities for classroom interaction and friendship-building. Credentialed teachers work with 25 students or fewer to develop critical thinking skills in core classes, such as history, science, math, writing, and reading. Additional classes such as Art, PE, music, Spanish, cooking, computers, and STEAM are also offered. C’lective classes are a year-long commitment with sign-ups for the following school year in late spring through summer (due to capacity).

Virtual Classes: Students in our Independent Study program have access to live Zoom instruction in English, Math, Science, and History 2 days per week. Students in grades 1-5 can follow a traditional school schedule and have a credentialed teacher teaching from the comfort of their own home. Students can access in-person activities, including Park Days, Field Trips, ASB, Musical Theater, and after-school programs.

M Track: Middle School- Three days on campus and two days of independent study

Students in grades 7 and 8 attend class in a traditional school setting three days a week and study independently on the other two days. Credentialed teachers work with students in core subject areas Tuesday through Thursday. On Mondays and Fridays, students complete assignments and projects and work at their own pace under the supervision of a parent or guardian.

The Sora Program: A World-Class Online Middle School Experience

The Classical Academies is excited to introduce the Sora Program, a full-time, online program serving students in grades 6 through 8. Designed for curious, self-directed learners, this innovative option blends authentic, project-based learning in a virtual setting with a strong sense of community. Students participate in 2.5 hours of small-group live classes, allowing time to explore personal interests and deepen their learning at their own pace.

With Classical Academy credentialed teachers, a structured schedule, and engaging online instruction, students receive a high-quality education in a flexible environment.

Created in partnership with Sora, a nationally recognized leader in virtual education, the program prepares students with future-ready skills and meaningful connections, all from the comfort of their own homes. Students also have access to on-campus activities and extracurriculars, including musical theater, sports, clubs, and more.

High School 9-12 Program Options

What Do We Offer?

The Classical Academies seek to personalize learning for every student through the partnership between parents and credentialed teachers. Each campus offers a variety of flexible programs, including on-campus, independent study, and a blend of these programs. The Classical Academies partners with parents to prepare students for college, career, and citizenship. Students can choose a program that best fits their learning style. The following flexible options are available:

Four days per week on campus and one day of independent study

Students attend a traditional classroom setting four days per week (Tuesday–Friday). Teachers use lectures, small-group activities, labs, field trips, and projects to deliver an engaging, rigorous curriculum that fosters student learning. Students in this program agree to exhibit respectful conduct and academic responsibility, including the timely completion of quality work and daily attendance.

Personalized Learning Campus

The Personalized Learning Campus provides high school students with the most flexibility in blending classroom time and independent study options with college prep coursework and features three-day workshops, intentional student collaboration time, projects/labs, and self-directed learning opportunities.

Virtual Learning

CAHS Personalized Learning Campus offers a virtual learning option. Students can access all core classes through the Gradient Learning platform and have Math, English, History, Science, and Foreign Language classes with credentialed teachers. Students will meet weekly with their Educational Specialist to mentor, track progress, and support student outcomes.

Five days – full-time independent study with teacher support

The 5-Day Independent Study Program provides additional flexibility for students and families. Families may choose from several options, including selecting their curriculum, selecting courses, working with outside co-ops or vendors, and taking community college courses. All students will have direct access to subject-area credentialed teachers.

Math Helpline Expands to Serve More Students

The Classical Academies offers live virtual math assistance from the comfort of your home! The Math Helpline serves students in grades 4-8 and can assist them with questions from any math curriculum. A credentialed teacher can help with current homework, math problems, or concepts. The Math Helpline now offers expanded hours as well. 

Available Hours:

  • Mon and Fri: 9:00 am to noon and 12:30 pm to 4:00 pm
  • Tue/Wed/Thu: 8:00 am - 11:00 am only

Students can bring any recent, current, or upcoming math lessons. Look for the Math Helpline link in your Schoology courses and TCA curriculum documents, or visit TCALearn.com/MathHelpline for more information.
