Mackenzie Brown, a 2nd grader at The Classical Academy, has been selected to represent the United States on the TEAM USA Tap Dance Team. This October, she will travel to Prague, Czech Republic, to compete in the World Tap Dance Championship. At the age of 7, Mackenzie is the youngest member of the team. She began dancing at the age of two and, after years of participating in regional competitions, was inspired by older friends to pursue her dream of joining Team USA. Mackenzie will perform in two routines on the Worlds Stage: Brass Band, a children’s (12U) formation with 30 dancers, and Grease Lightning, an all-ages production featuring 50 dancers.
