Classical Academy High School (CAHS) marching band, Caiman Corps, capped an extraordinary fall season with record-breaking performances, cementing their place among the state’s top ensembles. The Corps earned a 2nd place finish at the California State Band Championships (CSBC) Great Oak Tournament, the highest placement in program history at this prestigious event, showcasing their rapid growth and competitive strength. Just one week earlier, on Nov. 1, the Corps dominated the Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association (SCOSBA) circuit, sweeping its division with 1st-place trophies in band, guard, and percussion. This rare feat highlights the depth and talent of the ensemble. The Caiman Corps will compete at the CSBC Championships in late November, hoping for a spot in the California State Finals, the state’s premier marching competition.
